I wish I had documented early on my trials and tribulations of purchasing our lovely Cyprus apartment from the beginning (July 2008) – how nervous I was with the initial idea, how I tried to research the buying process, making my initial contacts, finding a friendly ear to advise and help me, feeling good about it, feeling scared I had got us into hot water, going to the Cypriot Embassy in London, finding the furnishings, dealing with the bank for the mortgage, signing off and starting to look for tenants.

Still it’s done now, bought and mortgaged and being let out.

I now have my own website, adverts on Owners Direct, Holday Rentals, Self Property Rentals and a couple of others. What’s my next step? An ad on my work’s intranet and any free holiday property listings I can find.

I wish I could take the cat. Popeye would love it over there but she is a very bad traveller.
